CHRISTMAS IS OVER???

I know Christmas is over, but I am not quite ready to move on to the next holiday.  Yesterday I was practicing my coloring and decided to color up this adorable Penny Black image.  Today I will take time to use it to make a sweet little card.  My goal for 2014 is to savor every moment of life and not rush through each month just because the "stores" are telling us, through their advertisement, that it is time.  I am going to enjoy the Christmas spirit for just a few more days and finish up a couple more projects before I pack up all of my decorations.  Remember that we only get one shot at each day.  Take time to enjoy life.  Have a blessed rest of your week.

Pretties By Alease Etsy store UPDATE!

Good morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  I had a very nice relaxing day with my family filled with eating, talking and watching lots of Hallmark movies.  As I was working late in the evening on my new items for my Etsy shop, I stopped and realized that I really wanted more time to spend with hubby on his days off work.  This time is so precious for me because he works long hours that I thought it would be great to just take more time off as well.  Therefore, "Pretties By Alease" will remain closed until January 1, 2014.   I look forward to bringing pretty things to share with you.  Please visit my store and enter your email address so that you will recieve a notice when the shop is open.  Thanks so much and Happy New Year to you all.  Oh, also, there will be a giveaway here on my blog that day as well.  Stay tuned!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

As I sit here writing this post, I have to stop and thank God for all of the wonderfully people in my life.  These past few weeks have truly been a blessing and I thank GOD for each person that He has allowed to come my way.  I am grateful for so many things.  It has been so much fun watching my store grow in such a short period of time.  I am just taking it slow and asking God to be my guide.  I am looking forward to new listings and most of all I am looking forward to reading more of the very sweet comments that have been receiving.  I will be closing shop for a Christmas break while I spend time with my family and friends.  I will announce that soon.  Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

The Greeting Farm "Cyber Monday" hop

Thanks for stopping by my channel for the Cyber Monday hop.  I created this adorable tag using Beanie Anya.   The house shaped die cut is from "Make it Cutsey" on Zibbet and the paper is the DCWV Jolly Whimsy paper stack.  I love all of the shabby colors.  The rooftop was created by gluing on vintage buttons and then adding lots and lots of glitter.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.  I have been enjoying the last few days with my dad in town.  He decided to spend the Thanksgiving holiday in Cali with us and will be here until another week after.  It is so nice to have mom and dad here together.  In between trying to entertain and be hostess because I really want my dad to have a nice time, I have been busy getting things ready for my very first Black Friday sale.  I am so over joyed with all of the love and support that I have received.  "Pretties by Alease"  is up and running  thanks to all of you!  So, I would like to so my gratitude by having my very first sale.  The sale will be begin NOW  until 11:59 pm  Friday evening.  Everything in the store will be 15% off with a $5.00 minimum purchase.  Thanks so much for shopping my store.  Alease

Etsy store update and giveaway!

Today I was able to spend a good chunk of my day listing the first items on my etsy store. Pretty Rosette Embellies!

I just love how these rosettes look.  The other night I decided to pull out my Tim Holtz rosette die and make some pretty embellishments to have on hand and I just love the way they look.  They are so glittery and so very shabby!  I used the kid's creatology glitter that you can purchase at Michael's.  It's a large jar that cost about $5, but can be purchased for less with a coupon.  Some of the rosettes are just the bottom layer, but I like it best with the large rosette topped off with the smaller one.  I used some flowers from my stash along with a little seam binding on some.  Don't you just love how sparkly they are. "Alter-Ego" Birthday Dee Dee Anya

I am so excited to share this card with you.  This card was created for the "Alter-Ego" card challenge over on the Greeting Farm blog.  This challenge is just in time for Halloween.  We are to use atleast two Greeting Farm images to create a new image.  For my card I used Dee Dee and Birthday Anya II.  I love my new image.  I made this card for my niece who recently turned 3 and I know she will love it!!!

All Dressed Up for Halloween!!

For this card I used my Holiday Anya 2 and dressed her for Halloween.  I used my very hoarded October Afternoon Witch Hazel paper collection and added some seam binding and fibers, flowers that I dyed with my Lindy's sprays and added a banner to make it spooktacular.  I love it!!!!  This card has been submitted in the Garden Variety Tuesday challenge on the Greeting Farm blog.  Go over for more inpiration. Anything BUT a card challenge!!

For this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge it is anything but a card.  I decided to create one of the treat pockets that is the craze right now using a Recollections envelope.  What a clever idea that was developed by Yolonda on YT.  I made this very shabby adorable treat pocket using Flutter Anya for a friend.  My plan is to add some rosette trim so that she can make some of the fluffy flowers.  This pocket is such a great idea that I  am looking forward to making more.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I am really glad that you are here.

All Ready for Halloween!!!

Holiday Anya 2 all ready and dressed for Halloween!  I love the way she looks on this card.  I decided to dress her for Halloween instead of Christmas.  I added a witch hat from the October Afternoon Witch Hazel collection and used an embossing folder in the background, which you can't see too much.   I also used some Dylusion's to color the flowers orange.  I love how bright they are.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

"Gorjuss" girl criss cross card

This week Laura and I challenged each other to make a fancy criss cross card using a colored image and items that we received in our DT packages (Laura is on the DT for WOC).  So this is what I came up with using some of the items that Julie sent me this month from Craft Supplies1.  I love how fancy and shabby it looks and I hope Laura likes it too.

This week for the Greeting Farm blog Garden Variety challenge, the theme is "Head Start on the Holidays".  The challenge is to make a Christmas card using a Greeting Farm image.  I decided to use my new Holiday Anya 2 stamp for this one.  I also used Teresa Collins Santa's List paper collection and I just love the way this card looks.  This is my first Christmas card for the season.  I even had Christmas music playing as I was crafting.  Now it's time to get some sleep.  I hope you like my card and your comments are welcomed.

Gorjuss Shabby Pincushion

Wow!  I had a jammed packed weekend and I am feeling the effects of it this morning.  I went to a late night crop on Friday and had loads of fun, but managed to finish my DT projcet for Craft Supplies1.  I really love my new Gorjuss Shabby pincusion chair.  The chair was a plant stand that I decided to alter.  I used several of the items that I received in my DT package from Julie and enlarged the image by 50% so that she fit better on the chair.    She looks so beautiful sitting in my cabinet on display.

For this challenge I decideed to use my Alice Bean Greeting Farm stamp. We were to use the colors berry, pink and blue/aqua on our cards.  I think this one turned our really cute!

Tray of "Pretties!"

Today I continued to work on unpackaging things so that they are in my view.  I used this beautiful glittered tray that I received from a friend to display the rest of my art-i-cakes that were still in packages.  I love it and think that I will now use them on projects.  What do you think?  Leave a comment to win an art-i- cake.

"Trinket" tray

I altered this wooden compartment tray to hold some of my trinkets that sometimes get overlooked.  I figured if I put them out in the open where I can see them, maybe I will start using different elements on my projects.   I love the shabby look of it.   I used some of the shabby paper that I received in a RAK from Jill Norwood.  I just love it!!

My Favorite Things caddy!
