SPOOKY cards!!

Boo!  Did I scare you with these spooky cards??  lol!!  It's all in fun!  I made these three spooky cards inspired by a wall hanging that my dear friend Sandy created.  I started out by cutting a circular card shape from a corrugated card from Michael's.  I then started layering my embellishments on top with a piece of spooky tulle underneath it all.  I love having all of my embellishments out at a hands reach so that I can quickly create with having to stop and search for things.  I see it right in front of me.  The vintage looking BOO is a Tim Holtz die that includes the 31 as well.  I love that I was able to pull out some oldies but goodies from my Sizzix die collection.  These were really fun to make and came together quite easily.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

HAPPY FALL YALL!!

I had the best time this weekend at an all day crop with some beautiful crafty ladies.  I was so happy that I was able to complete lots of cards and have a good time too.  For these two cards, I used some embellishments that I had in my stash.  I love how colorful and cheerful these cards turned out to be.
This week here in SoCal, we are heading into fall with 90 degree weather, but that is not going to stop me from creating some fun cards and home decor.  I love the fall and miss living in the Midwest for this one reason.  Both of these cards can be found in my Etsy shop Pretties by Alease.  Thanks so much for stopping by and know that I appreciate each and everyone of your.  Please leave a comment if you like.  Have a blessed week and HAPPY FALL.

Chirstmas Cards

Hello,
This weekend I attended an all day crop that was hosted by Patti.  Some of you may know here from FB or YT.  I had an amazing time crafting with a wonderful group of talented ladies.  The crop was held at a scrapbook store called Hearts & Crafts in Covina, California.  It is a  really nice store and if you are ever that way, it is worth taking a peek.
I had a few projects that I had in mind to make, but it just didn't go as planned.  I think I may have been having too much fun!  Needless to say, I only was able to make two Christmas cards and I love them both.
This first card started out with me coloring the snowman to be used as tags, but once again, my tag ened up being a card.  The stamp was found at garage sale for very little and I colored as well as paper pieced.
This second card was very quick and simple.  I used a couple pieces of paper along with cardstock to create this cheerful holiday card.  Of course I had to adorn it with that big gingham bow.  Thanks for stoppping by and leave a comment if you like.

Shabby Chic Gingerbread Houses

This is such a pretty Spellbinders die.  I used it to create these shabby chic gingerbread houses and I just love the end result.

Tiny Christmas Tags!!!

Boy, do I love these adorable tiny tags.  These were so much fun to make.  I was able to make them using my punches and a retired Sizzix mitten die.  These are going to be so much fun to share and use on packages.  I am having a ball getting ahead this year with my Christmas crafting.

GINGERBREAD PEOPLE

I had so much fun creating gingerbread people the other day.  I actually ended up with an entire basket full.   I used an old Sizzix die to create these adorable gingerbread people.  I got my inspiration from Jill Norwood and Pinterest.  Go over to Jill Norwood on YT and check out her awesome card and tag videos.  Lots of inspiration can be found on her channel.

I think this year I will have enough tags and cards ready to share with family and friend.  What kinds of Christmas projects are you working on?

SNOWMAN TAGS!!

Hi everyone!  I just wanted to post the adorable snowman tags that I created.  For these tags I was able to use several of my stamp sets.  The snowman is a Sizzix set and the tree is from a Lawn Fawn set (Critters in the Woods) and the little birdie is from a different Lawn Fawn (Hippo Birthday).  It was really fun creating these, but after putting together 20 sets, I was really over it.  These are the few that I had leftover.  The rest of the tags are being enjoyed by others.
It really is fun getting a bit of a head start on Christmas projects.  I still have a few more dies out on my table  that I would like to use to make tags.   I really enjoy crafting for Christmas and probably could do it everyday.  I hope you like these tags.  Leave a comment and thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

WARM WINTER WISHES (Christmas is Coming Series!)

Well, I guess my Christmas card making has begun.  I wanted to share another shabby chic card with you today.  I used my Sizzix die "Kids and Sled" to create this sweet card.  I wanted to keep it pretty simple, so I just added a few embellishments and lots of glitter.  I can't help myself when it comes to glittering up my shabby Christmas cards.  I don't use it as much when I create cards using more traditional colors.  You can never have too much glitter right?  I hope you  like it and leave a comment here for me.  I will be having a little giveaway soon, so please follow so that you don't miss a chance to win.

Christmas in July

Every year I promise myself that I will not wait until December to start making Christmas cards.  Yet, every year I find myself at the last minute trying to scramble to make a few special cards and tags for the holiday.  Well, the other day after watching Jill Norwoods' video showing a batch of her Christmas tags for this year, I decided to follow suit and make a few.  I'll put the link to Jill's video down below.  Here are the cards that I created.

I had all intentions of making tags, but ended up with cards.  I do like that way they turned out and can't wait to make more.
For these two cards, I used Sizzix deer die that coordinates with a Basic Grey paper line.  I also love using glitter on my Christmas cards, so I had lots of fun glittering up these cards.  I hope you like them.  Please leave a comment and thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

"YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE"

SPRING is in the air.  I used another one of my adorable Penny Black stamps to create this spring card.  It is more like spring here in SoCal so I was in a spring kind of mood.  Of course I had to add my favorite pink gingham paper along with other patterns from the Pebbles collection.  I think it really turned out cute.  I really like the cluster of banners.  I also added some faux stitching around the inner border of the card and some stickles to give it a little sparkle.

"Sweet Kisses!"

Today I created this adorable birthday card fora sweet friend.   I seem to create better sometimes as I'm cleaning and creating at the same time.  Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and we have friends coming to watch the game with us and I needed to just pick up a bit so I decided to craft at the same time.  I usually craft and clean on Mondays.  That is my day the entire house gets a good cleaning.  I absolutely love this image.  I have always been a fan of Penny Black and I have fallen is love with these stamps all over again.  With an effort to use what I have in my stash, I pulled out the Preppy Princess stack by DCWV.  I embellished with some twine and couple of Prima flowers along with a few sequins.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a stamp set that I found last year at Tuesday morning.  I can't recall the brand since have since then taken it from the packaging.  Thanks so much for stopping by and leave a comment if you like.  I have some blog candy coming real soon!!

Embellished Jars Home Decor

Okay, I really love how this project turned out and looks in my home.  I used some digital downloaded jars from an Etsy shop and embellished them with a Pebbles valentine chip pack.  Of course I had to glitter up each piece.  The background paper is American Crafts from the Target dollar spot.   This is a great way to use things that you have in your stash.  That is really one of my major goals for 2015... to use what I have or atleast love for something in my stash that could be used before buying something new.
